In the battle of fast food restaurants, who wins?
Unsurprisingly, In-N-Out is a contender.
For we fast foodies, the day Zagat releases its annual rankings for the nation's best fast food establishments is like the day the Academy announces who is nominated for an Oscar.
Which fast food mega-chain is the best?
With our greasy fingers and clogged arteries, we venture online to see which of our favorite restaurants were named in such categories as "Best Burger," "Best Fried Chicken," and the coveted "Top Food."
Well, it's that time of year again, and Zagat's list -- compiled from the votes of 10,554 patrons -- has been released. So, who walked away with the most honors this years?
Wendy's cleaned up in the mega-chain category (5,000 or more locations) for Top Food, and ranked second for Top Facilities and Top Service. But "best" doesn't mean "most popular," as Subway won that designation for mega-chains.
Among the "large chain" restaurants, In-N-Out won big as it took home "Top Food," "Most Popular," "Top Service," and "Top Overall" awards.
McDonald's is still king of the french fries, though, taking No. 1 overall in Best Fries. Five Guys took Best Burger.
