Restaurant review: Start slams you with a freshly healthy vibe

Once you Start me up I'll never stop!

— Fast food has gotten better. Even McDonald’s decided to buck up and give a flip about bulging bellies. I mean, as bad as the fast food world has been, it can only improve. Wait— It’s hard to focus right now because I’m sitting at Cafe Brazil and the guy up-charged me $1.99 for something he suggested in lieu of carbs. This injustice is hindering my brain from the focus necessary to discuss Start. This is a total bummer.

Start is smart. Not only smart, Start slams customers with a freshly healthy vibe the second you pull in the parking lot. Employees can be seen happily rushing around wearing cool looking hats. The guy at the register didn’t hesitate to tell me exactly what to order. His opinion counts because he has inside food scoop.

For those not in the know, Start came to life because some kind of mom didn’t like the unhealthy options of most fast food restaurants. She decided to put a plan in place to help kids live a healthier lifestyle when forced to be on a fast food run. If you think about it, Erin McKool and her husband are practically brilliant.

Sweet potato tots may not be nutritionally perfect, but they're a good way to be "bad" and still get a heaping dose of vitamins.

Start answers the question: What is real food fast?

“We use humane, antibiotic, hormone & nitrate-free meats. Organic eggs, milk, butter & sugar… along with many other organic ingredients. Peanut butter without fillers. Whole-wheat flour in our baked goods. Gluten-free & vegetarian items. Local honey. Scratch-made mayonnaise & salad dressings. Organic, fair-trade, shade-grown coffee & espresso beans. We don’t use fryers, aspartame, corn syrup, or plastic water bottles.”

Start even offers organic & gluten-free local beers. Wines are only from vineyards “practicing green farming.” Customers can even take a birdhouse home for two bucks! Start isn’t nutritionally perfect, but it’s by far the best fast food joint around town. Start’s concept is a fantastic win for everyone.

Ok I don't get this, this is the second "review" of this place that does not review the food. Is there some financial arrangement here or something? How is the food? That should be the primary focus of any restaurant review. Inquiring minds want to know.
