Taylor Swift performs on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in New York.
On the heels of Taylor Swift's hot new album, RED, her camp announced that she will tour through North Texas on May 25, 2013. She'll play on the field of Cowboys Stadium in Arlington -- a trend, since she's also hitting Soldier Field in Chicago, Ford Field in Detroit, and about a half-dozen other stadiums. She played Cowboys Stadium when she toured through DFW in 2011.
The official announcement says she'll play "Dallas's Cowboys Stadium." We won't go there.
Swift is certainly leveraging the success of her cute pop song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." According to Billboard, the song "claims the longest rule atop the Hot 100 for a country song in almost 32 years."
The tour takes Swift to 58 shows in 45 cities. Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will be one of Swift's special guests. All tickets are under $50 "at Taylor's request," says a press release.
The tickets for the Arlington show go on sale November 16.
