Dogs and humans invited to Run for Retrievers Saturday on Katy Trail
All proceeds benefit DFW Lab Rescue.
DALLAS The Dallas Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Rescue Club, Inc. (DFWLRRC) is hosting Run for Retrievers, a 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run Saturday, September 8, 2012 along the Katy Trail in Dallas. This is the 3rd annual Run for Retrievers and kicks off at Reverchon Park, 3505 Maple Avenue. at 8 a.m. Saturday. Registration is $30 for the 5K and $ 20 for the 1 Mile Run/Walk if you register online by 9/6 – $5 more if you register on-site. Registration includes a technical running shirt, recyclable bag filled with goodies for you and your dog, and a chance to enjoy the post race fun, including human and canine massages, cake for the two and four legged, a free reading from an Animal Communicator and doggy and kid friendly activities.
Dogs are highly discouraged for the 5K race, but encouraged for the 1 Mile fun run/walk. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, on leash, and friendly with other dogs.
DFW Lab Rescue is dedicated to alleviating the needless death and suffering of homeless or misplaced (lost and stray) purebred Labrador Retrievers in the Dallas Fort Worth area. 100% of the proceeds from this event benefit DFW Lab Rescue.
