Kobe embarks on minor social media meltdown following Achilles rupture
Per a Facebook post, his "anger is rage."
Los Angeles Lakers' superstar Kobe Bryant is out for the season after rupturing his Achilles tendon on Friday night. The team is currently a front runner for the playoffs, but two more games remain in the regular season.
After the game on Friday night against the Golden State Warriors, Bryant underwent an MRI. Los Angeles Lakers fans and the public did not learn the full extent of the injury from an official press conference but via a Tweet from the team quoting team trainer Gary Vitti.
Bryant, has literally spent about half of his life in the NBA, shared his raw frustration via his Twitter @KobeBryant last night saying:
- “Random tears of devastation and doubt mixed with inner determination and will #countonfamily #countonprayer THANKU #vicodintweets comin ha!”
His honesty continued via his Facebook profile earlier today in a post:
“This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I’ve done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I’m supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that??
- “I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that was. Maybe this is how my book ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me.”
Later Bryant seemed to rebound, referring to the rehab as a new career challenge.
