6 ways you can donate to Kidd’s Kids foundation
You can also help send kiddos to Disney World this fall, the first trip without Kidd.
Businesses and individuals in the area have since rallied in his honor. One couple recently started a petition to keep the “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show” on air, which now has more than 50,000 signatures. Several restaurants are hosting fundraisers or allocating a certain percent of sales to Kraddick’s non-profit Kidd’s Kids, which raises money to send chronically or terminally ill children to Disney World with their families. Radio station 106.1 Kiss FM, Yea Networks, Raising Cane’s, and Southwest Airlines dubbed Friday, August 2 Kidd Kraddick Kidd’s Kids Day.
Check out how and where you can donate.
Donate money at 20 of North Texas’ Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers diners during Kidd Kraddick Kidd’s Kids Day. No purchase is necessary. Cash or credit card accepted on-site.
Donate digitally by going to 1061kissfm.com or by calling 214-866-8106. Or, text “KIDD” to 52000, which will automatically send $10.
Longtime “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning” listeners will recognize this phrase: “Keep lookin’ up, ‘cuz that’s where it all is!” Buy a T-shirt with Kraddick’s trademark sign off for $25, the proceeds from which benefit Kidd’s Kids. There are other designs with the foundation’s logo to choose from, too.
Twisted Root Burger Company will donate $1 from every milkshake sold now through August 6 to Kidd’s Kids. This offer holds true at all of its nine locations around DFW. Shakes run about $5 for the regular flavors and $10 for an adult shake with alcohol.
On Tuesday, August 6, Bread Winners will donate 15 percent of total sales from its four area locations to Kidd’s Kids. Swing by any time from 5 p.m. to close to contribute.
Fans of bands like Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, and Gin Blossoms, which are playing The Under The Sun Tour this month, can donate $10 from the cost of their concert ticket to Kidd’s Kids. Enter the code “KIDD” when purchasing those tickets. The offer is not available to those who already bought show passes. The Under The Sun Tour swings through Allen Event Center on August 14.
