Plano man faces murder charges in death of his wife
The man continues to be held at the Collin County Detention Center on bond amounts totaling $1,000,000.
PLANO A Plano man arrested last month of aggravated assault has now been charged with murder.
On August 2, the Collin County Medical Examiner ruled that Judith Dzwairo's death was a homicide. Judith's husband, Amon Dzwairo, 39, had previously been arrested for assaulting her. When her death was ruled a homicide, the charges were upgraded to murder.
Amon continues to be held at the Collin County Detention Center on bond amounts totaling $1,000,000.
Original story -- July 29: On Friday at about 4 a.m., Plano police officers were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Player Drive. Upon arrival, it was determined that a physical altercation had taken place between the husband and wife at the location.
The wife, Judith Dzwairo, 34, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The husband, Amon Tawanda Dzwairo, 39, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The next day, detectives were advised that Judith had died. The cause of death is still pending from the Collin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Amon is being held in the Collin County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
