UPDATED: Mi Piaci on Preston Road in Dallas is now open
The Mi Piaci that was on Montford Road for 23 years is closed.
DALLAS Mi Piaci Italian restaurant opened today, August 7, on Preston Road in Dallas, according to Alison Volk of Volk PR. And just in time, too: The original Mi Piaci on Montford Road was shuttered last month after a dispute with the landlord, and patrons were promised that those who made Restaurant Week reservations at the now-closed Mi Piaci could have them honored at the new location.
The preview to Restaurant Week begins Friday, August 9.
Here's what to expect at the new Mi Piaci, according to a press release:
Mi Piaci will continue to serve house made bread and pastas, house cured meats, risottos and specialty pizzas. This new Park Cities restaurant offers a large bar downstairs as well as a spacious patio for al fresco dining. Upstairs is home to Enoteca Wine Bar which is open daily at 4 p.m. Along with a gorgeous dinning area, Enoteca offers an extensive and award winning wine selection, as well as handcrafted specialty cocktails. Upstairs is also home to another large patio that has retractable ceilings and air conditioning making it a great destination all year round.
The new Mi Piaci is located at 8411 Preston Road, Suite 132 in Dallas. It is located in the space that once was OCHO Kitchen + Cocktails.
Former Ocho chef Joel Harloff will be executive chef, we reported in July.
[UPDATE: The executive chef is now Elmer Pineda, who was executive chef at the other location of Mi Piaci before it closed. "Chef Joel Harloff is pursuing another venture," said Volk.]
