Video: Local teen actor’s epic Bar Mitzvah was fit for a superstar
Sam Horowitz's entrance into manhood was probably more bad-ass than your wedding and all your birthdays combined.
Sam Horowitz’s epic bar mitzvah
DALLAS It takes a simple YouTube search to see how creative some Bar Mitzvah celebrations and speeches can be. But, if I were to have my own Bar Mitzvah as a kid, I could only hope it were something like Sam Horowitz had.
Sam’s fantabulously fierce Bar Mitzvah at the Omni Hotel in Dallas had everything. The show started with his name in lights, and Christina Aguilera’s “Show Me How You Burlesque” while a troupe of burlesque dancers twirled around the stage. (Clothed, of course.) Then, as the superstar he is, Sam slowly descended from the ceiling. You’d think that would be enough to make your celebration better than most, but that was just the beginning.
As the song switched to Jennifer Lopez’s “Dance Again” Sam made his first appearance and BAM! The kid has moves! He looks totally on point while dancing with the ladies and confetti surrounds them. And probably the best thing was the huge smile on his face while this dream-come-true performance was happening. Amazing, simply amazing.
Sam is not just a talented 13-year-old dancer, he is also an actor having appeared in several productions in Dallas.
Watch the video above and see Sam enjoy his celebration to the fullest … then see Sam in character for several of his acting gigs, below.
