Poll: Texas is America’s least-favorite state
We’re not the craziest or the most arrogant ... but they still don't like us.
Business Insider decided to hand America a mirror and ask its citizens which states are the drunkest, hottest, and which have the silliest accents. Somewhat surprisingly, Texas didn’t win any of those categories, much less all three.
Instead, we have the honor of being America’s least favorite state, apparently … Thanks, people of the USA. No, really. We’re so honored.
We’re not the craziest (that award goes to California), nor are we the most arrogant, but we’re the state that most people would like to kick out of America. Seriously.
Business Insider says, “That’s what you get, Texas, for always pulling the ‘We can leave America whenever we feel like it’ card,” but come on, BI. We know these poll results were influenced by nothing more than jealousy.
But maybe I’m jumping to conclusions. Maybe the anonymous voters of this poll simply forgot that Dallas is here in Texas. Surely our city alone should have given the state a boost, right?
We have great food (not just barbecue, though we’re pretty freakin’ good at that).
OK, yes, maybe our food is too good. But can you blame us for being a little fat?
And bottom line: We’re much better than Houston.
So I guess what we’re saying, poll voters, is that you’ve made a mistake. We don’t blame you. You probably didn’t even realize what you were doing. But still … why don’t you come visit sometime and we can vote again?
You can see the rest of Business Insider’s poll results on their website.
