Longhorn Network now available to local Charter subscribers
Here's how folks in Rockwall and Duncanville can get their UT fix.
ROCKWALL Just in time for the August 31 season opening football game between the University of Texas and New Mexico State, Charter Cable has added The Longhorn Network (LHN) to its cable channel lineup in Rockwall, Duncanville, and Spring in standard definition (SD) on Channel 299 and high definition (HD) on Channel 801.
The game will be telecast exclusively on LHN as well as the Longhorns’ much-anticipated September 14 matchup against Mississippi and November 2 game against Kansas.
According to Charter’s Regional Communications Director Brian Anderson, Charter customers in Fort Worth and 40 surrounding communities gained LHN access and more than 80 additional HD channels earlier this year as part of the largest HD channel launch in Charter’s history.
Now they can take the action beyond their television sets with access to the LHN website and Apple iPhone app with OS 5.0 or later. That means Charter customers have unprecedented, 24/7 access to their favorite Longhorn sports with the ability to watch at home or on the go.
“The timing couldn’t be better for us to bring the Longhorn Network and the LHN website and app to more Charter customers in Texas,” said Kevin Allen, vice president and general manager for Charter in Texas. "We’re thrilled to bring the excitement of Longhorn athletics to screens both big and small. It’s a chance to support the home team and provide additional value to our customers.”
Customers can watch LHN online content, including live streaming events, at www.longhornnetwork.com or download the app from the App Store. Customers must choose Charter as the designated TV provider and sign in using their Charter credentials to begin watching Longhorn Network programming.
