Kelly Clarkson hosts Country Christmas special Wednesday night on NBC
Expect laughs, Christmas songs and a bunch of celebrity cameos.
It’s already been a cheerful season for Kelly Clarkson with a wedding, the announcement of her first pregnancy and her new Christmas album, but things are about to get even more Christmasy. Wednesday night on NBC, she will bring us Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, a holiday special with music and comedy skits.
Among other performances on the show, Clarkson will sing “Silent Night” with Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire.
Actors Ken Jeong and Jai Rodriguez make an appearance in a skit where they help Clarkson come up with a marketing idea. Others set to make appearances are Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, William Shatner, Danica Patrick and Heidi Klum.
Blake Shelton and Clarkson have been buddies for a while: She’s helped him on The Voice and her new husband is Shelton’s manager so it makes sense he’ll also be appearing on the show. It also serves as cross-promotion for NBC.
Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale airs on Wednesday, December 11 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
