At Fearing’s, for instance, you’ll leave Christmas Eve dinner with cookies for Santa. The Dallas Arboretum offers a special tea that would make for a spirited ladies' lunch. And Spoon Bar & Kitchen is hosting a feast of the seven fishes that will surely thrill gourmands.

Canary by Gorji: This Addison-area restaurant serves a three-course dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The dinner starts with mixed field greens with pomegranate vinaigrette. The entree is turkey or pork chop served with pistachio fig dressing, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Dessert is pumpkin or pecan pie. Cane Rosso: With Dallas locations in Deep Ellum and near White Rock Lake, Cane Rosso has a private event menu for larger Christmas parties. Three menu options are available, priced at $20, $25 or $30 per person. The largest package comes with a cured meat platter, garlic knots and pizza rolls, salad, assorted Neapolitan pizza and dessert. Add-ons such as Caprese skewers and mini meatballs are available for an additional $3 per person. Private rooms are available at both locations, with Deep Ellum seating as many as 55 people and White Rock seating as many as 42. Central 214: The restaurant inside the Hotel Palomar Dallas is open on Christmas Eve. The three-course, prix fixe dinner begins with starters of shrimp and lobster chowder, a harvest salad or roasted Brussels sprouts. The main courses are a choice of pumpkin risotto, duck breast with roasted chestnuts and cherries, strip loin with fries, or seared sea bass. Cru Food and Wine Bar: Three locations of Cru host a three-course, prix fixe menu on Christmas Eve. Appetizers include choice of pumpkin mascarpone ravioli, baby spinach salad, ahi tartare, lobster bisque or crab cake. Entrees are a choice of filet mignon, short ribs, scallops or sea bass. Desserts include lemon curd tart, molten chocolate lava cake or crème brûlée. Noon to midnight Dec. 24. Dallas Arboretum: The DeGolyer Estate – decked out in an angel theme this year – serves holiday tea on Christmas Eve. The experience includes courses of tomato basil soup, tea sandwiches, and desserts such as almond short bread, chocolate espresso bars and iced holiday sugar cookies. Seasonal teas are matched with each of three courses. Open daily 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Dec. 31; closed Christmas Day. For ages 12 and older only. Dee Lincoln Steak and Burger Bar: In addition to serving a limited regular menu on Christmas Eve at this new Uptown Dallas restaurant, Dee Lincoln is offering a three-course meal for adults plus a special kids menu. The adult meal for $35 starts with butternut squash bisque or a BLT chopped salad. The entrée is a double bone pork chop. Dessert is a red velvet cupcake. Fearing’s: They’re closed Christmas Day, but Fearing’s offers special Christmas Eve lunch and dinner menus. The $60 lunch includes choice of first and second course, ending with a trio of desserts: cinnamon apple open-faced pie; eggnog gingerbread ice cream sandwich; and chocolate peppermint crème brulee. A three-course dinner is $100 per person, $30 for children. Choices for the first course include lobster bisque with bourbon eggnog cream or a foie gras duo; for second course choose Peking duck a l’orange on chestnut brioche pan stuffing or prime ribeye with potatoes and cheddar and spinach casserole. Ferre: This Fort Worth restaurant is closed Christmas Eve but open from 3 to 8 p.m. Christmas Day. The three-course meal begins with choice of appetizer: mixed greens, beet salad, short rib and spinach ravioli, shrimp scampi, or creamy chicken soup. Entrees are pork loin, filet, bone-in chicken, salmon, surf and turf linguine, or pistachio trout. Highland Park Cafeteria: Expect homey food and live piano at Highland Park Cafeteria on Christmas Eve. Holiday food includes prime rib, ham, pork loin and turkey with dressing, two sides and a roll. Hilton Park Cities: Grain, the restaurant inside the Hilton Park Cities, hosts brunch on Christmas Day. The buffet includes breakfast items like made-to-order omelets, eggs Benedict, grits and French toast; plus holiday food like prime rib, turkey, smoked salmon, Texas redfish and more. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25. $55 for adults; $27.50 for children 6-12; free for children under 6. InterContinental Dallas: The all-you-can-eat buffet on Christmas Day takes place in the Crystal Ballroom. Food includes salad, fruit, crudites, shrimp and crab claws, country honey glazed ham, turkey, roasted salmon, lobster and chive mashed potatoes and more. Breakfast is also available, as are bread and desserts. Princi Italia: Christmas Eve dinner is a three-course menu at Princi Italia. The first course is a choice of chili crab salad or cheese tortellini. Next is a choice of scallops, clams and shrimp, or braised short ribs. Dolci (dessert) is tiramisu or chocolate molten lava cake. The fixed menu is available 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 24. $36 per person. Pyramid Restaurant in the Fairmont Dallas hotel: The newly-renovated Fairmont Dallas will serve Christmas brunch and dinner on Christmas Day. Brunch includes breakfast items like omelets and crab cake eggs Benedict, plus holiday food like roasted turkey and cranberry sauce. Christmas dinner includes prime rib, seared cobia, ricotta agnolotti and eggnog cheesecake. Brunch is $65 for adults, $55 for seniors, $30 for children 6 to 12 years old; and free for children 5 and under. Brunch includes a mimosa or glass of sparkling wine. SER: The steakhouse at the top of the Hilton Anatole is open Dec. 24, 25, and 26 for a four-course dinner. Meals start with an appetizer choice of quail, crab cake, steak tar tar or grilled ciabatta panzanella. The soup/salad course is lobster bisque or squash red curry bisque, or salads like a wedge or arugula. The main courses are porchetta, beef filet, lamb, salmon or chicken breast. Steel: In addition to offering the regular menu a la carte, a special three-course dinner at Steel starts with choice of coconut curry squash soup, chili crab and shrimp cakes, or pork belly steamed buns. Entrees are mahi mahi, lamb chops or roasted duck. The meal finishes with your choice of poached pear, mango-and-ginger pudding, or pumpkin cheesecake. Trevi’s at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas: Restaurants inside the Omni at Las Colinas are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on Christmas Day. Breakfast, from 7 a.m. to noon, is the full breakfast menu at Trevi’s, a la carte, with no buffet. The luncheon at Trevi’s from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. has a carving station, roasted veggies, and desserts. $36 for adults, $16 for children. FM Smoke House: This Irving comfort food joint is serving up “no-fuss” Christmas food in the form of smoked beer can turkeys. (An added, local bonus: The beer inside the turkey is a Franconia Dunkel, brewed in McKinney.) The 12-pound turkeys are packaged so they can be reheated. $59 for a turkey and one quart of brown spice gravy. Additional sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, smoked corn and white cheddar macaroni and cheese cost $15 to $25 each and serve six to eight people. Green Grocer: Leave the cooking to Green Grocer on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. The shop specializing in Paleo, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food is selling five- and eight-side meals in addition to a la carte menu items. Sides include creamed kale, Brussels sprouts with bacon, sweet potatoes and more. Packages can come with turkey breast or ham. Pies, bread, desserts and wine and beer are also available. Malai Kitchen: You may not immediately think of a Thai restaurant when ordering Christmas food to go, but Malai Kitchen in Uptown is selling whole coconut cream pies with sides of tamarind caramel sauce and coconut gelato. $35 per pie. Orders should be made by 10 p.m. Dec. 23, and pick-up is at or before 3 p.m. on Dec. 24. Malai is closed Christmas Day. Rathbun catering: The owner of Abacus, KB's, Jasper's and Rathbun's Blue Plate Kitchen is offering food to go with a Texas twist. Items include roasted turkey with green chile red-eye gravy, beef tenderloin with Marsala mushroom sauce, and spiral ham with molasses black-pepper glaze. Sides are potatoes, Texas sweet corn pudding and fancy green bean casserole. Desserts are available, too. Rathbun partnered with the Wine Poste to offer bottles of wine in bundles of four.
