The men of Duck Dynasty wow a select crowd at Choctaw Casino
Hey duck, hey.
DURANT The hilarious and bearded men from A&E’s Duck Dynasty made their way to Choctaw Casino Friday to meet an overwhelmingly enthusiastic crowd clad in camo.
Originally, Uncle Si Robertson, Willie Robertson, and Jase Robertson were scheduled for a meet and greet from 6-9 p.m., but the casino changed plans and had the family do three shows that involved a duck call demonstration and a question-and-answer session.
Simple enough right? Unfortunately not. Fans from all over the region arrived at Choctaw as early as 5 a.m. to get a much-coveted ticket to one of the shows. The line of people with tickets spanned the entire circumference of the casino, and those who missed the memo were disappointed, very disappointed.

My group was one of an unlucky couple thousand. The event sold out around 3 p.m., according to one of the security men at the entrance of the theater. However, in the third and final showing — about $55 spent in video poker later — event organizers found some extra room at the back of the theater and invited a lingering few to watch the show. This was going to be good.
The lights dimmed and ZZ Top blasted through the speakers as Uncle Si, Willie, and Jase walked like rock stars through the crowd and up to the stage. The crowd learned some interesting things about the redneck millionaires and life:
“There are two kinds of people in this world without bears,” said Jase. “Women and children.”
The show was epic. So were the beards.
