Women invited to free crafting lesson at The Home Depot in Plano
The event is part of a series of free monthly Do-It-Herself Workshops aimed at helping women tackle popular home décor projects.
PLANO It’s time to stop pinning and start doing! So on Thursday, Feb. 21, women can enjoy a night out learning how to turn their “Pinspirations” into reality at a hands-on workshop. The Home Depot, in partnership with popular local DIY design and décor bloggers Ashley and Whitney, authors of Shanty 2 Chic, will host a DIH Workshop: Inspired by Pinterest at the W. Plano The Home Depot store. The event is part of a series of free monthly Do-It-Herself Workshops aimed at helping women tackle popular home décor projects.
Through their blog, Ashley and Whitney aim to share tips, tricks, and projects on how to decorate on a budget with their more than 91,000 readers. Working together with a The Home Depot design expert, Ashley and Whitney will give participants a dose of do-it-yourself inspiration for their homes.
Women who attend the free workshop will learn how to create a Pinterest-inspired mosaic-tiled mirror frame, how to set and grout mosaic tiles, and how to select the right products to update the look of an existing mirror. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to ask The Home Depot’s design experts for advice on home decorating projects.
The event is scheduled for 6:30–8 p.m. at The Home Depot in Plano at 6200 W Park Blvd.
