Women on roller skates never looked so tough.
FAIR PARK — Ladies named Strawberry Deathcake and Anne Smashaway mean serious business. In the sport of roller derby, women with scary names and even scarier competitive streaks compete regularly in rough-and-tumble bouts that often leave bruises.
We stopped into a bout where Assassination City Roller Derby teams duked it out at Fair Park Coliseum. See the wreckage:
