In speech, former Longhorn Ricky Williams thanks wife for cleavage
Williams said it after being inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame on Monday night.
Former Texas running back Ricky Williams began his seven-minute speech Monday night during the Texas Sports Hall of Fame induction banquet by thanking Texas sports information director John Bianco. But Williams had an awkward ending to his speech that had the crowd of about 1,000 laughing to conclude the ceremony at Baylor’s Ferrell Center.
“I don’t know how many times [Bianco] had to call the writers and say, ‘You know what he meant to say …’” Williams said, smiling.
Williams was one of seven athletes inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame on Monday night. He concluded his induction speech by thanking his children and wife, Kristin, for being at the ceremony.
“I've been asking her for years to finally show some cleavage, so thank you,” Williams said.
