Happy National Margarita Day: Dallas is the birthplace of frozen margarita machine
This calls for happy hour.
DALLAS If you haven’t already read the story in our USA edition, newsflash: It’s National Margarita Day!
We can think of no better place to celebrate the occasion than by grabbing a big ol’ plate of Tex-Mex at Mariano’s, birthplace of the frozen margarita machine.
With several restaurants and brands around the Metroplex, Mariano’s has long been one of our favorite places for enchiladas, tacos, and some incredible chile con queso.
And even though the original frozen margarita machine is quietly being admired at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, rest assured the new models are cranking out alcoholic brain freeze better than ever.
So toss back a gigantic frozen Margarita at least once today and think of us fondly for reminding you of this momentous event. And if you happen to see us in person, feel free to buy us one, too. After all, we’ll do just about anything for a free drink.
And the unthinkable for two.
