UPDATED: Dallas Sean Lowe won’t be on Dancing with the Stars after all

ABC announced the cast members Tuesday morning.

UPDATE: Surprise, surprise indeed: Dallas bachelor Sean Lowe isn’t among the dancers after all. This morning, ABC officially unveiled its Season 16 participants, and the closest Texan is 2009 Houston Texans draftee Jacoby Jones, now a Baltimore Raven. He’ll join Andy Dick, Wynonna Judd, D.L. Hughley, Dorothy Hamill, and others you may or may not have heard of.

Original story: Surprise, surprise. Famous Dallas bachelor Sean Lowe is rumored to be joining the coming season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Lowe’s relationship with ABC started when he was a heartbroken contestant on The Bachelorette and continued when he was cast on The Bachelor. The Bachelor is currently airing with just a couple of ladies left in the hopes of becoming Mrs. Lowe.

If true, why is this not surprising? Well, ABC knows that people have fallen in love with Lowe and they will use every opportunity available to show him shirtless, exercising, or in heavy interaction with the ladies. This show provides for all of those scenarios. He seems like a great fit for the dancing show if you ask me.

Who else will be dancing on the new season? Country cutie Kellie Pickler is reportedly joining the show as the first-ever American Idol contestant to do so. In addition to Pickler, TMZ reports that country star Wynonna Judd and 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Aly Raisman are among this year’s cast.
