The Biggest Loser loses Carrollton’s Alex Reid
In her post-show cameo, she looks phenomenal.

Alex gets ready for the "face your fear" challenge -- dangling over the side of a building while holding a heavy weight.
CARROLLTON Carrollton’s Alex Reid had one of her best weeks yet on Monday night’s episode of The Biggest Loser, but it wasn’t enough to save her from elimination.
Alex, 24, had struggled at times this season with inconsistent weight loss, emotional baggage that held her back, and a perception that she didn’t work hard in the gym. On Monday night’s episode — the theme of which was “face your fear” — none of those things seemed to be an issue for her.
Alex lost eight pounds, her third-biggest loss of the season. But with only six people left on the ranch, the competition is getting pretty fierce, and Alex needed to lose at least nine pounds to save herself from possible elimination. So close! Alex and contestant Jackson dropped the least weight in terms of percentage, and when it came time for the contestants to vote, Alex lost out. She will now be in the running for the $100,000 prize that goes to the eliminated contestant who loses the most weight before the finale.
“I’m taking a lot home with me when I go home tonight,” she said after the vote, “and that emotional stress and drama that I had is what caused me to gain weight to begin with. Now that I’ve overcome that here on the ranch, I can go home a more confident person. Alex can finally be proud of herself, and that’s where I am right now. I’m going home proud of myself.”
In total, Alex went from 240 pounds to 187 during her time on the show, a loss of 22 percent of total body weight. That is pretty phenomenal. She absolutely should be proud of herself.
Then we got to see how Alex is doing now, and she looks fantastic! She is down to 170 pounds, and now feels comfortable enough to do a little shopping with her mom in (at Uptown boutique Krimson and Klover, which gets a little unnamed cameo in the show). Check out the video below to see Alex’s new look.
