Remember when Jennifer Lawrence was in that dumb sitcom as a teenager?

It was a terrible show, but she was even sorta good in it.

Jennifer Lawrence: cute as a teen, everyone's favorite actress as an adult. What can't she do?

When I lived with my parents, one thing we often did together as a family was watch TV. Miraculously, we like a lot of the same shows, but there are some exceptions, such as The Bill Engvall Show. I didn’t really find the few episodes I watched to be funny, though I admitted that the teenage daughter was kind of cute.

Fast-forward a few years to when Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for an Oscar and is gearing up to be in X-Men Origins, and I said, “Huh. Isn’t that the girl from that show I didn’t really like?” At the time, there weren’t many clips of her or the show on YouTube, because come on; who would care about that?

Things have changed. Now, America (the world?) has fallen in love with Lawrence, and for good reason. She’s cute, she’s spunky, she speaks her mind, she’s ridiculously talented … She’s awesome, is what I’m saying.

So if you want to look into the roots of the Oscar-winning actress who will return as Katniss to the Hunger Games sequel later this year, check out some of these clips from her sitcom days.

I would remove picture # 8.. It isn't flattering of the people or the food.
