Photos: Wacky, costumed runners fight evil during Superman 5K in Rockwall


Most runners came to get a shot at winning the very special, custom made medal.

— Clark Kent, the Hulk, and plenty of young Supermen came together Saturday morning for the Superman 5K in Rockwall. Dozens of people dressed the part for the fun run.

The medals the winners receive are custom made and attract runners from all over the country because of their uniqueness.

The event benefits Able Racing Team Charities, which helps pair able-bodied runners with runners who have disabilities such as cerebral palsy and autism. The charity also raises money to buy race wheelchairs for disabled runners who do not currently own them.
