Flower Mound student will be memorialized with balloon release on January 5
The whole community is welcome to attend.
FLOWER MOUND Marcus High School golf coach Kerry Gabel said Thursday that the team will host a balloon release at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Bridlewood Golf Course to honor MHS senior and golfer Max Schwolert.
Schwolert, 17, died Saturday night from complications of the flu. He also developed a staph infection.
Gabel said participants should arrive at the course at 5 p.m. Members of the golf team will be at the event, and Gabel said the public is invited as well.
There is expected to be about 300 balloons released.
