Kelly Clarkson will perform at Presidential Inauguration

2012 was a great year for the original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, and 2013 is looking to be a great follow-up. Following the news of her engagement to Brandon Blackstock and her Grammy nomination for Stronger, Clarkson has announced on Twitter that she will be performing at the 57th Presidential Inauguration on January 21.
Excited & honored to announce that I'll be performing "America (My Country 'Tis of Thee)" at the 57th Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 21!
After creating a stir on Twitter for her support of republican nominee Ron Paul, Clarkson announced that she would be voting for Barack Obama once again due in part to his support of gay rights, while stating that she was still a Republican at heart.
