Photos: Larry Hagman’s $5.2 M penthouse simulates a “permanently docked mega-yacht”
Yup, that's J.R. Ewing beer staged on the patio table.
Last week, we took you to "Heaven," Larry Hagman's ecologically sound mountain-top retreat in Ojai, California, but if you think that was the last you'd see of the recently-departed Dallas star, you haven't seen anything yet.
Feast your eyes on this: Hagman's $5.2 million penthouse at the top of One Zero One Ocean, one of Santa Monica's swankiest addresses. Replete with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that present an unobstructed view of the beachfront and islands, the estate was created to simulate a "permanently docked mega-yacht" with all the glamor of life at sea but none of the inconvenience.
Even better is the nautical decor which, admittedly, looks a bit like a maritime Southfork, circa 1983. A little out of your price range? Ours too. But we like to keep its patio sunset and can of J.R. Ewing beer on reserve in the daydream bank.
