Revamped Sunset Lounge opens January 23

If you're playing the game "Where's Lucky?" we found him.

Sunset Lounge

Sunset Lounge

— Perhaps you've seen its orange-and-red sign while trying to determine which lane you need at that frantic convergence of North Pearl, Live Oak, and Caesar Chavez, or perhaps you recall when The Sunset Lounge was a late-night club with a DJ, dance floor, and thumping Top-40 playlist. Whatever your association, know that the Sunset is going through a transitional period, and some would argue that it's a major upgrade.

The SMU graduates who most recently brought you Bowl & Barrel on Park Lane have revamped the little club with a great view of Downtown. If you've been playing "Where's Lucky" lately following Eddie "Lucky" Campbell's most recent career-change (this time from The Chesterfield) -- don't look for a red-and-white striped shirt or glasses; he's the fella with the fedora and the kickass cocktail creations -- then you'll spot him at the Sunset, starting January 23. Here's the full press release with more details about the Sunset's makeover:

Partners Josh Sepkowitz and Kyle Noonan, of Free Range Concepts, will officially open Sunset Lounge with a Grand Opening party on Wednesday, January 23rd from 6-10pm, offering $3 anything (food or drink).

Sepkowitz and Noonan have brought on Eddie “Lucky” Campbell to man the bar. Noonan explains, “We are excited to have ‘Lucky’ be a part of the team here at Sunset. He is at the top of his craft and his energy and passion are infectious to everyone around him. We feel he is the perfect person to run our cocktail/bar program.”

Sunset Lounge is a neighborhood bar with a 1960s' Southern California vibe featuring a full bar serving handcrafted cocktails, local beers, artisanal wines and a kitchen that is open late and offers a light, fresh bar menu. Sepkowitz explains, “Great cocktails, fresh food and the bohemian décor all work hand-in-hand to create Sunset’s effortlessly cool and laid-back vibe. I see Sunset Lounge being your home away from home.”

Sunset Lounge is located at 3030 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75204. Phone: 214.823.8193. Website: sunset-lounge.com.

    Hours of operation: Sunday – Thursday 5 p.m.- midnight; Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.
