UPDATED: Dallas-raised Glee star sued for sexual assault
The mohawk has tried to disassociate itself from Salling in recent years.
TMZ reported Friday that Mark Salling, born in Dallas and best known for playing Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee, is being sued for sexual battery.
According to the lawsuit, ex-girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela (who says she began dating Salling in September 2010) consented to have sex with Salling in March 2011 on the condition that he use a condom. According to TMZ, “The suit, filed by attorney Philip J. Layfield, alleges 30-year-old Mark blew off her demand and proceeded to “insert his penis into [her] vagina without a condom. She says she protested and Mark pulled out, but re-engaged again without a rubber.”
To make matters worse, she allegedly went to confront him at his home later that month, only to catch him in bed with another woman. She then demanded him to prove that he had no STDs she should be worried about, after which she claims he pushed her to the ground, injuring her. TMZ has a photo of the alleged injuries.
Not long after the story was published, Salling’s publicist issued a statement to TMZ saying “”There is no truth to this. It’s the textbook case of a disgruntled girl looking to cash in on a TV star’s success. We turn the rest over to Mark’s attorneys and have no further comment.”
UPDATE on May 2, 2012: TMZ reports that Mark Salling is filing a countersuit against Roxanne Gorzela. Salling claims that Gorzela attacked him after entering his home without permission to then unleash her fury on his car. Gorzela is being sued for trespassing, assault, and battery. Salling is also demanding unspecified damages.
