Wake boarding company opens Little Elm location on July 6
Radio i93 will provide 93 cent beer and half-price rides for the first 93 boarders.
LITTLE ELM Hydrous Wake Park will no longer be an Allen exclusive when it opens a new location in Little Elm on Saturday.
The park will be the company's second location.
Hydrous parks replace boats typically used by wake boarders with cable lines that tow riders around a course at a constant speed. The new park will feature two beginner systems and a full system for experienced riders, according to Victor Toledo, who owns the park with Chad Lacerte.
The park also has a tri-level dock overlooking Lake Lewisville.
The Little Elm park will be located at 300 E. Eldorado Parkway in Beard Park. The park's soft opening will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m and feature a live broadcast from the radio station i93, according to a press release. Promotions planned for the opening include half price for the first 93 riders.
Toledo said a grand opening will be held when a bar and restaurant being built at the park open.
“We’re extremely excited about the addition of this recreational amenity to our community,” said Alicia Gray, events and programs specialist, in a release from the city of Little Elm. “Residents and visitors to Little Elm who have not had an opportunity to try their hand at wakeboarding owe it to themselves to come out and try it. It’s an exhilarating experience that’s fun, safe, and remarkably easy to master.”
