Founder of the “breastaurant” is throwing a party July 13 in a town he renamed Bikinis
The main attraction? You guessed it, a bikini competition.
The guy who trademarked the word “breastaurant” is hosting a grand opening for the tiny Texas town he renamed “Bikinis” after his chain of sports bars by the same name.
This Saturday, July 13, Bikinis, Texas is offering quite a schedule of events at an outdoor venue called Guller Hall. Beginning at noon and going into the night there will be: a bikini contest, a deejay, dancing, games of washers and horseshoes, raffle prizes, a performance by country singer Jerry Jeff Walker, and breast-imprinting in bronzed bikinis by model/singer/actress Carmen Electra.
And of course, there will be a full bar and barbecue from Black’s Barbeque in Lockhart, Texas.
Restaurateur and now Mayor Doug Guller bought the land for Bikinis, Texas, southeast of Fredericksburg, in July 2012. The Hill Country town was then known as Bankersmith.
“I am thrilled to share my vision for Bikinis, Texas with the world,” Guller said in a June 2013 press release. Part of that vision includes a Bikinis Hall of Fame, with Electra as the first inductee. “This will take the breastaurant brand to a whole new level and will allow our fans to enjoy the ultimate and unparalleled Bikinis experience.”
Bikinis the sports bar will not open in Bikinis, Texas, but the restaurant has 12 locations in Texas, including Arlington, Mesquite, Richardson, and Dallas, as well as one in Oklahoma and one in North Carolina. The first Bikinis opened in Austin in 2006.
