“Theatrical” fast-casual pizza place moving into Plano
The first of two Uno Dué Go locations in Plano will open on August 1.
Uno Due Go moves into Plano on August 1
PLANO Boston-based Uno Dué Go will open the first of two coming Plano locations on August 1 at Preston Towne Crossing, a shopping center at the northeast corner of Preston Road and Park Boulevard. While its pizza-with-pizzaz style outposts already exist in Terminals C and E at DFW Airport, the new Plano storefronts will be the first of their kind due to their more expansive size and scope.
Featuring deep dish pizza, hot breakfasts, and house-made baked goods, the eclectic menu offers a number of dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients. Nutritional information is printed online and a number of gluten free and vegetarian options are available, in addition to hearty Italian-style fare. The restaurant will have a full bar.
What sets the company apart from a myriad of "fast-casual locally sourced" spots is potentially its claim to "theatrical" preparation. Per the press release, "guests are entertained by pizza makers who hand mold, stretch and flip; salad masters who make everything to order with the pizzazz of street performers; sandwich crafters who schmooze as well as schmear; and pastry artists who drizzle like fine painters."
The new Preston Towne Crossing location opens August 1 at 6:30 a.m. A second Plano location will move into Preston Creek Shopping Center, near Preston Road and State Highway 121, by the end of the year.
