Del Frisco’s owner will open high-end burger bar in September
Dee Lincoln Steak and Burger Bar will be located across from the Quadrangle in Uptown.
DALLAS Local restaurateur Dee Lincoln is getting into the high-end burger game.
Lincoln, co-founder of of Del Frisco’s and owner of Dee Lincoln’s Tasting Room & Bubble Bar, and business partner Michael Moreno, will open Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar in September in Uptown, according to a press release that went out Tuesday.
The menu is still in production, the release says, but the concept is an “approachable menu of steaks, creative burgers and sides.” Steaks will come from Windy Bar Ranch in Stonewall, Texas, and Beeman Family Ranch (which is not a physical ranch, but a product, as Leslie Brenner explained in this 2011 post).
As for alcohol, the release says the restaurant will have 100 wines for less than $100, including some Texas wines, plus “local beer and a craft cocktail program showcasing Texas spirits.”
The restaurant will open at 2626 Howell Street, across from the Quadrangle — most recently JoJo’s Eating House & Bar, and Bella before that. Which is fitting, since Lincoln is bringing on former Bella co-owner Anthony Porcaro as general manager to assist in launching the new restaurant.
Executive chef is Juliard Ishizuka, who has been serving as executive chef at Dee Lincoln’s Dining Room & Bubble House. He’ll leave that role to work exclusively at the new restaurant, the release says. Prior to Dee Lincoln’s, Ishizuka has worked at Fuse, The Mansion, and the Omni hotel restaurants in Fort Worth.
