Kelly Clarkson sings giddy song about marriage, “Tie it Up”
It was released not long before her own nuptials.
Gone are the days that Kelly Clarkson is “Miss Independent.” Her latest single, a pop-country mix called “Tie It Up,” brims over with bride-to-be giddiness.
Let’s set the date / Let’s hire a band / Let’s cut the cake / Tie up the cans / I love the ring of your name / You’re the ying to my yang / Oh baby let’s give it a shot / Every wall needs a frame / Every ball needs a chain / I’m talkin’ about tying the knot/ Tie it up
Clarkson will reportedly become Mrs. Blackstock October 20 in Nashville. Her fiance Brandon Blackstock is her talent manager and the step son of country icon Reba McEntire.
Clarkson told People the wedding will be outdoors and earthy, with yellow roses to bring in Texas vibes.
Clarkson will also appear this summer on a segment of the genealogy reality show, Who Do You Think You Are? The program traces the family histories of celebrities and aired from 2010-2012 on NBC, was canceled, and will now premiere its fourth season on TLC July 23.
