Sean Lowe finds love with his goofier half Catherine in The Bachelor season finale
Sean realized she was one woman he couldn't live without.

Sean proposed to Catherine in an emotional and heartfelt finale of The Bachelor season 17. She seemed like she only half expected it when she said, "Is this a dream?"
After two intense hours of The Bachelor season finale, Dallas native Sean Lowe chose Catherine Giudici as his bride-to-be. Finalist Lindsay Yenter was sent home in tears after an emotional break up that left her blindsided and embarrassed.
Both finalists met Sean’s family in Thailand, where his parents grilled each one about their morals and feelings toward their son. Catherine and Lindsay passed the familial introductions with flying colors, which left Sean seemingly unsure about what to do next. He jumped back in love with each girl that he spent time with, stressing about which was his future wife.
Sean hoped his family would provide greater insight on the situation, or at least choose a favorite. His mother attested that if his decision was not clear, then Sean shouldn’t propose to either woman. Thanks, mom.
Luckily, Lowe’s individual dates dissolved the cloud of confusion. First, he and Lindsay took a romantic raft ride down the river separating Thailand, Burma, and Laos, sipping champagne and frequently locking lips. The couple lit Thai sky lanterns wishing collectively for happiness, family, and love — it looked like she had it in the bag.

Lindsay was heartbroken when Sean broke up with her. She was fully confident that she was getting engaged.
The next day Sean took Catherine on an adventurous elephant ride through the jungle to a remote, predictably romantic cabana. Catherine acted odd, fidgeting nervously and looking disconnected. Insecurities from past relationships were creeping up on her and she nearly lost control after divulging an unreciprocated, “I love you.” But her energy was wasted, as it was obvious Sean was head over heels.
When Lindsay arrived at the lagoon podium in a sparkling silver dress, it did not take long to read Sean’s face and know they weren’t getting engaged, much to Lindsay’s surprise, however. She removed those damn heels immediately and tromped out to the car.
In what seemed like a twist of events, Sean received a letter from Catherine moments before she was supposedly arriving. Did she get cold feet? Did she have a change of heart? Of course not! She strutted down the rock aisle in her glittering gold dress smiling from ear to ear, though only half expecting a diamond.
“I miss you every time we say goodbye,” Lowe said, bending down on one knee. “I don’t want to say goodbye anymore.”

Take a look at that ring! Neil Lane went to Thailand and met specially with Sean Lowe to find the perfect diamond for Catherine.
Catherine accepted his proposal with hardly a word, though her face was saying a million (possibly naughty) things. The soon-to-be husband and wife rode into the sunset.
Our two cents: Season 17 sweethearts Catherine and Sean seem like they actually might last. Catch their reality TV wedding sometime in the near future -- only on ABC (wink).
In other news, the season fan favorite Desiree will search for her Prince Charming this summer in season 9 of The Bachelorette.
UPDATE: Sean will also join the cast of Dancing With the Stars, ABC just announced.
