At Stiletto Stampede, men in high heels hoof it through Preston Plaza
It benefits everyone, but especially Komen for the Cure.
DALLAS Men in high heels: It’s not just for drag queens anymore!
In fact, all our years of practice strutting around in nothing but underwear and kiki heels is about to pay off. That’s because Saturday, March 23, the Stiletto Stampede welcomes racers of all shapes, sizes, sexes, and species to join together for the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Among the events are the official Stiletto Stampede 100 yard dash, but also one for breast cancer survivors, a Stroller Stampede for the entire family, a Pooch Scooch for the four-legged supporters, and the main event, The Men’s Heat where guys dash through the streets showing off their hairy gams and awesome pumps.
Register by Wednesday and you could win a pair of tickets to Taylor Swift’s May 25 Dallas concert. Signing up early also gets you access to the Pick Up Party on March 22 at Tootsies. And all racers gain admission to the Tootsies After Party with music by DJ Esquire, Sprinkles cupcakes, cocktails, and other treats.
So grab your best buds and get ready to show the world that men can rock a pair of heels better than anyone. Just make sure to practice. Because few things are more embarrassing for a man than taking a tumble in a pair of Christian Louboutins.
And by that we mean taking a tumble in a pair of Christian Sirianos for Payless.
