Former Salum chef moves to Neighborhood Services
Ian Tate takes over as executive chef at Salum and Komali.
Sibling restaurant Komali’s executive chef, Anastacia Quinones, has also left her post. Quinones wanted to spend more time with her infant daughter, says PR representative Martha Tiller, and is teaching.
The new executive chef over Komali and Salum is Ian Tate, who has worked as a chef and manager in Dallas and Fort Worth kitchens since 2009. Chef Abraham Salum still oversees both restaurants.
Komali is an upscale Mexican restaurant. Next door is Salum, a contemporary American restaurant.
