Celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary in true British style October 27
Grapevine's British Emporium will have biscuits, tea and, the doc's favorite, Jelly Babies.
GRAPEVINE Doctor Who celebrates 50 years on TV on November 23. For those who can’t wait to celebrate (and for those of us who, with no TARDIS, must experience time slowly … in the right order), The British Emporium in Grapevine will be celebrating Doctor Who Day on October 27 from noon to 4 p.m.
As often as you see him cosplayed at conventions, it wouldn’t be a bad time to dress up as Matt Smith’s 11th Doctor (pictured above). He’s on his way out this Christmas, and will be replaced by Peter Capaldi. Grab your bow tie and fez accordingly.
According to store’s press release, fans are invited to “meet and mingle, pose with props and dress as their favorite character. Events include a quiz, complimentary Time Lord’s Tea, English biscuits and treats. Find collectibles, posters and of course Doctor Who’s much-beloved confections, Jelly Babies.”
The event is free and open to the public. You can see photos of last year’s Doctor Who Day on The British Emporium’s Facebook page.
