UPDATED: Electronic music fest Lights All Night won’t be on New Year’s Eve in Dallas
Performers include Deadmau5, Icona Pop, Fergie, Major Lazer, Kaskade and more.
DALLAS Dallas booty-shakers who wanted to spend their New Years Eve dancing to DJs from the annual festival Lights All Night will have to find a new party or buy a plane ticket. Lights All Night is in Dallas the weekend before New Year's Eve, on December 27 and 28, and then it moves to Mexico City on December 31.
The show has taken up residence in Dallas on New Year's Eve since 2010. We called last year's three-day event one of the nation's largest electronic dance parties.
This year's full lineup is not yet released, but we know two mega-stars who will be pumping electronic music at the Dallas show: Deadmau5 and Kaskade.
[UPDATE: More performers were announced, and they include Icona Pop, Fergie and Major Lazer. See details below.]
Past Lights All Night festivals have included performances by Tiesto, Avicii, Ghostland Observatory, Girl Talk and Neon Indian. Stay tuned for additional announcements for the 2013 show next week.
The event is at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Early passes are $79 for one day; $125 for two. Prices can go up to $700 for two nights depending on special VIP access. Tickets are on sale now; see pricing here.
