Dallas radio station The Ticket nabbed sports station of the year for the second time
It has been a finalist seven times.
The Ticket has captured its second Marconi Award as "sports station of the year" from the National Association of Broadcasters.
The award was presented Thursday night in Orlando.
Dallas' first all-sports radio station won its first Marconi in 2007. It has been a "sports station of the year" finalist seven times.
Other finalists for the prestigious award were stations in Boston (WBZ-FM), Philadelphia (WIP-FM), Chicago (WSCR-AM) and Detroit (WXYT-FM).
Meanwhile, the station's morning Musers -- George Dunham, Craig Miller and Gordon Keith -- fifth time finalists for "personality of the year" in a major market, finished behind winner Eric & Kathy from Chicago (WTMX-FM).
