Play Xbox One in DFW in October
Test it out at special gaming events before you ask for one this holiday.
The Xbox One will be hitting store shelves November 22 — just in time for your holiday shopping. But maybe you can’t wait that long? Maybe you have to get your hands on that new controller (and your eyes on those new graphics) now?
Microsoft is sending some trucks on a tour of the U.S. They will be making stops in major cities to give people their first look at their next generation console. The Dallas area will be getting three stops on October 11, and one stop October 12. TCU will also be seeing its own truck in Fort Worth on October 17. Those times and locations are below (you’ll probably be hitting either a Wal-Mart or GameStop parking lot, depending on where you go).
There is no mention what games will be available to play, though you can probably look at the launch lineup and make some safe bets. Forza is probably a given, and I’d say Killer Instinct is likely. Its appearance is probably unlikely, but if Titanfall is there, I might just have to follow this truck around all day and keep playing over and over. That was my favorite Xbox One game at PAX last month.
There will also be an “Area One” party in Dallas at 2616 Commerce October 31 through November 3. (The website doesn't clarify the time(s) each day.) This event for ages 18+ will have “live music, live gameplay, and more, you and your friends can paint the town green.”
You can follow @XboxOneTrucks on Twitter for more up-to-date news, and check the local truck schedule below.
