If dinner at a fine dining restaurant just isn't your thing.
Maybe candy hearts and kisses aren't for you. No matter your definition of love, you need not feel left out of Valentine's Day. There’s something for nearly everyone to do to mark the holiday — from a hot date featuring glass blowing to a bawdy celebration of the bizarre.

A Valentine's Day Double Feature: Begin your romantic evening being serenaded by crooner Ricki Derek, who will perform jazz standards, including songs from the Great American Songbook, followed by a screening of the 1942 movie classic Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Full Moon Paddle: Take an early evening canoe tour for the chance to see deer and raccoons and to witness beavers slapping the water with their tails. Equipment, including life jackets, will be provided. Feb. 14 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. $20. Advance registration required. KLUV Valentine's Day Party: Get down and shake your booty to hits of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s during an event hosted by DJ John Summers. In addition to dancing to the music, there’ll be an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Feb. 14 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Hilton Anatole. The ticket price is $109.87. Old School Lovin’: A Night of Jazz and Romance: This black-tie affair features jazz saxophonist Boney James with guitarist Norman Brown and pianist Alex Bugnon. The event, hosted by “KSoul” KSOC-FM (94.5) and Rudy V, includes a three-course dinner and a cash bar. Pretty Things Peepshow: Looking for something unusual to do with your date? This show is billed as part burlesque, part carnival show, part psychotic circus and a bawdy celebration of the bizarre. Hot Date Night: Sip on flaming cocktails with your special someone and work together with a Vetro artist to help create two pieces of glass art. You and your date will receive two drinks each; hors d’oeuvres; and the chance to choose and apply the colors for your heart or flower creations, work with the artist and watch him as he creates the art. Yoga For Two: PerfectFit yoga instructor Miranda Davis is hosting a special class for couples who would like to participate in partner yoga. Couples will practice poses together to increase flexibility, stamina and open communication, in addition to building trust and sparking playfulness. Breathing techniques will be taught, and attendees can try partner foot massage. Davis will include aromatherapy for sensuality, and organic hot tea and chocolate strawberries will be served after the class. Valentine's Cruise on Grapevine Lake: Step aboard a boat for a three-course dinner, dancing to live music and a comedy performance. Eat Your Art Out: Have cocktails and dinner at a mystery destination (it’ll be arty; possibilities include a collector’s home or an art studio).
