…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead among Texas bands added to Homegrown lineup
The Austin band will play the entirety of 2002's Source Tags & Codes at the fest.
A couple of weeks back … And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead announced it’s doing a very brief tour in support of, well, 2002′s majestic Source Tags & Codes, which it will perform in its entirety. At the time there was no Dallas date. Now, scratch that: The Austin band was just announced as an addition to the fifth annual Homegrown Festival at Main Street Garden in downtown Dallas on May 10. And, as previously advertised, “The band will play the entirety of 2002′s Source Tags & Codes and other songs from their decade-spanning catalog, and will return to the studio after the tour concludes,” per the Homegrown release.
Of course it won’t be the only once-signed-to-Interscope band playing its major-label full-length at Homegrown: The Toadies, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Rubberneck‘s release, will headline. In other words: Loudest. Homegrown. Ever.
Also announced tonight (this morning?): Seryn, Wild Moccasins (from Houston), Fort Worth’s The Phuss, The Suffers (best thing going out of Houston?), The Black & White Years (Austin) and Goodnight Ned. There’s another round of acts still to come on March 4.
So … when does Homegrown grow to two days?
Tickets are on sale now: $22 via Prekindle for the all-ages show, downbeat at 11 a.m. Wait till day of, and it’s $25 — still a steal at this rate.
Now, to the Wayback Machine … remember when Craig Kilborn had a late-night talk show?
