Forbes named singing, dancing Todrick Hall one of its “30 under 30”
This former Arlington guy has made it big.
Things are looking up for Arlington’s Todrick Hall.
The former American Idol contestant turned all-around entertainer was recently named to Forbes' 30 under 30, an annual list from the business magazine that recognizes the most promising up-and-comers in multiple industries who have yet to hit the big 3-0. Hall is joined by actresses Olivia Wilde and Lena Dunham.
For Hall, American Idol was just a jumping-off point. After Idol, he became an overnight-sensation on YouTube for his unique, usually melodic, spin on classic fairy tales like his twist on “Cinderella” called “Cinderonce.”
However, considering the trajectory of Hall’s career, YouTube may just be a side project. Most recently, Hall was responsible for the music and lyrics for Virgin America’s super-catchy, super-viral, “Safety Instructions” video and choreographed dance moves for the music video for Beyonce’s “Blow.” (See it below.)
