The academic sweatshirt program recognizes “Excellence in Education” by students who, through the end of their 10th grade year, have maintained a 3.8 grade point average or better.

The video produced from this experiment will help the district bring home the message that prevention is the most effective way to fight any flu-like illness.

Superintendent Scholars are selected on the basis of membership in the National Merit, National Hispanic, and the National Achievement program as Advanced Placement Scholars.

They've prepared two letters that show they're doing everything they can to ward off the swine flu. Both letters are available in English and Spanish, but only one was actually sent home with the children today.
