Blessed by a beautiful day, the seventh-annual Krewe of Barkus “Classic TV for Canines” Dog Parade was bigger and better than ever.

Two of our favorite events take place this week and both involve drunken debauchery and gold, naked men.

Last year, 200 dogs participated in the parade and more than 3,000 spectators enjoyed the sights and sounds of the event which was created by the Art Institute of McKinney.

The overpriced courtyard adjacent to downtown hasn't seen a crowd this size since the legendary New Year's 2007 gathering, and we are just so grateful to the vision of Tom Hicks et al.
