Texas American String Teachers Association honor Kari Zamora, who teaches at Dowell Middle School and Faubion Middle School. She established the orchestra programs at two Lewisville middle schools, too.

The district had seven elementary schools top the list and three middle schools honored.
November 15, 2006-
Several McKinney Independent School District middle school band students performed in the Region 25 All-Region Band auditions on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Hendricks Middle School in Plano and received selections to the All-Region Bands.
