They say that some of the subjects are hired actors and that the Joey Greco stabbing was fake.

Uncle Barky has the scoop.

Russ Vandeveerdonk says:

It is entertainment folks, that is why people are watching. Not ALL of the episodes have actors!

Mike Orren says:

Agreed, Russ. The missus and I are avid Cheaters-watchers, and part of the fun is trying to guess if each case is a "real one" or a "fake one." I imagine there are plenty of both...

Peter Stawicki says:

I can tell you for absolute and certain that when the show started there were times when actors were used to keep the show interesting. An aquaintance of mine, formerly in aquatic military service made extra cash doing episodes. That being said I worked with not one but two cheaters in the last few years, one of whom his wife accused him of having a social disease when he was caught with someone who wasnt his wife. It made his working life a bit of a spectacle. Lets face it, the show is cheesy at best but when the only other choice is an infomercial at 3am, its worth watching just to see if you can name the exact location of the bust (Apartments, bars, restaurants)
