Plano parents concerned about school district realignment plans

Frankly, you move to a neighborhood because of the feeder schools. If they change the rules on you, you have every right to raise living hell.

So just ship their damned MONEY and don't screw up their lives by adding hours- nay YEARS - in cars over the course of a 12 year stint in public school.

Brilliant idea. Keep their taxes high at their appraised values while your house sits at about 75% of that, take that money, add a conservative cost of almost half a man-year in commute per household - not to mention a "guesstimate" of $12,000 per household in CASH outlay for the extra mileage and frankly, I'd pack up and move to the speaker's neighborhood - one of the "moated" tony ones on the east side btw - and form an HOA to make them feel like they're on the west side.

And since (if my Google-fu is correct) the speaker's household primary income is from outside Plano... moving near their office would significantly RAISE the average income of THAT school district... but they don't have $300K 3500 sq ft houses around there.

3500 sqft??!?!? HOLY CRAP! that swallows the houses of my friends that are getting screwed in the "rich" part of town!

Ok, that explains it -- rich folk bought "more house" in poor-town and now want rich-town schools.
