Is that because of Obama's Stimulus package, that brought more cops to the street? Created jobs? Gave america hope? or can we give Bush credit for this one? or do we Blame Bush for this one? Could it be those new black squad cars? Maybe those neighborhood picnics? just wondering...

Well lets put it this way is was not due to the previous Dallas Police Chief, what ever his name was. Memba him? I wonder if he ever did get that job as dog catcher. I am going to hate the day that Kunkle gets hired by; Atlanta, New York, or where ever. It is only a matter of time.

He goes get the boots on the ground. He sure cleaned up the Park Lane just east of Greenville area about a year ago. Brought in the observation tower, mounted officers, and a total no BS attitude about making his mark. It was a sight to see. Even though that neighborhood seems to be sliding a bit, I know that Kunkle will come back around and crack that whip. That should be his nickname "the whip" especially when it comes to blond haired news reporters ;) Shhhhhh!!

I attribute this to Batman. I knew I was right to vote for him.

Thought I remembered reading about how they were basically going to start manipulating stats by the manner in which police handle reports. Did a quick search but quickly gave up...fairly sure this is simply b/c of presentation of data, I don't feel any safer anyways.

It's cause Dallasites are becoming nicer.

I believe it's almost customary now that a young man ask politely before grabbing a purse and running away with it.

This has become the most predictable cycle in local news:

  1. The DPD claims crime reductions.

  2. The DMN reports that they're fudging the numbers by not counting certain crimes:

Lather rinse repeat.
