A production crew will film later today (Sept. 30) on Main St. in downtown Dallas
It's a closed set shoot for a TV pilot called The Deep End. There'll be helicopter action starting at 4 p.m. Rush hour traffic, we hear, will not be affected. (Uh huh.)

John Meyer says:
Janis Burklund of the Dallas Film Commission tells us that this is a 20th Century Fox/ABC mid-season replacement series about young attorneys. (What other kind are there?) It stars Billy Zane.

My daughter was this close | | to getting a job on that production crew. Which of course means I was this close | | to marrying Billy Zane. Or at least making out with him. Life is so unfair. :(

Well, I assume she wouldn't have actually made out with Billy Zane on Main Street.

John Meyer says:
Michael, sources say the majority of the filming will be happening inside a building on Main St. and on the rooftop. (Thus the helicopter.) I'm not sure which building, but I suppose you could key off the 'copter at 4 p.m. and figure it out.

Never assume anything! But I don't think that is quite what Michael was asking.

Teresa Gubbins says:
the joule already had mega-film crews crawling all over it at 12 noon. main entrance to Charlie Palmer was completely blocked off (egad, you have to enter the restaurant via the patio), and finding parking spaces on Main St. between Field St and Neiman's was impossible, not that it's a picnic in the first place
