The white light bulbs had a cool nostalgic appeal, but they simply couldn't compete with LED. Besides, it was the right thing to do environmentally.
Now, if they try to change the neon red Pegasus to LED, that would just be wrong.

lakewoodhobo, thanks, i wasn't up to speed on the environmental aspect. i do like the piercing effect the white lights had, but they say change is a good thing. and the new colored ones look a little Xmas-tree-ish, which strikes its own likable chord
